Jarquess Nightingale passed away on August 24, 2026, at the age of 37. Born to Gloria Nightingale & Marion Wilson on December 6, 1988, Jarquess will be remembered with deep love by all who knew him.
Jarquess graduated from Charlton County High School in 2008, a milestone that marked an important chapter in his life. He was family oriented, and that devotion to the people he loved shaped the way he lived and the way he will be remembered. Those who knew Jarquess will also remember the perfect smile that brought warmth to so many moments and left a lasting impression on family and friends alike. Among the blessings of his life, becoming a father stood as his proudest accomplishment, a role that brought meaning, love, and joy to his heart.
He leaves behind a family who will carry his memory forward with love. Jarquess is survived by his daughter, Aaliyah Nightingale; his fiancé, Chiquita Wilkerson; his mother, Gloria Nightingale; his father, Marion Wilson; and his step-father, Leon Reid. He is also survived by his sisters, Jarkess Nightingale, Stephanie Brown, Calvina Braxton, Katrina Leone, his brother, Antonio Nightingale. Jarquess was also loved by a host of brothers and sisters on his fathers side, and 3 loving step-sisters. He also leaves to cherish his grandmother, Shirley Dasher; and his uncles, Tyrone Smith and Alphoso Dasher. Each of them shared in his life in a special way, and each carries cherished memories of his presence, his smile, and his love for family.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mattie Lee Braxton; his uncle, David Braxton; his aunts, Alberta William and Charlotte Braxton; and his niece, Jazlyn Braxton. Their memories remained part of the story of his life and the family bond that meant so much to him.
Jarquess Nightingale will be remembered as a loving father, a devoted family man, and someone whose smile could light the hearts of those around him. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him and peace in the days ahead.
